Lt Col David K. Knutzen

Lt Col Dave Knutzen received his commission as a 2d Lt from the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Colorado in 2009. His assignments include the 31st Combat Communications Squadron, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma; the 5th Air Support Operations Squadron & 1st Air Support Operations Group, Fort Lewis, Washington; Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 905, Washington State University; the Joint Communications Unit, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and the commander of the 724th Special Tactics Support Squadron, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
His current role is the J7, Director of Force Development, White House Communications Unit, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC. He is responsible for initial and continuation training for all WHCA personnel, support President and Vice President information technology requires in the White House and throughout the world.
He is a graduate of Basic Communications Officer Training Course, Basic Airborne School, Survival Evasion and Resistance School, and Presidential Communications Officer course. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science, Computer Science from the University of Colorado, and a Master of Arts, Homeland Security from American Public University System.
Lt Col Knutzen’s awards and decorations are commensurate with his rank and time in service.
He has been married to his wife, Dr. Jennifer Knutzen for 10 years.
